Project
Over the past couple of years I have come to appreciate projects in a new way. The project simply defines what success looks like. That is more important than I gave it credit for. Why, because it gives you something to aim for, your goals not someone else’s. That’s powerful. My goal with astro was simple, make some beautiful images of the classics, the milky way, a comet, eclipses and maybe even an aurora image. Too just enjoy discovering,

There are times in your photographic life where the gear, the knowledge, don’t matter as much. Where the person with the cell phone next to you can get a similar shot. But then there are times when the research helps. Where technique matters and where local knowledge pays off. When combined, all of these together can make that once in a life time experience, even better.
